Congratulations to Cam Milliken who won a best poster award at the 2026 ISBA World Meeting. The conference was attended by over 800 people and included more than 300 posters.

Cam's poster on spatio-temporal modelling of bumblebee populations

Cam’s poster presented their MRes work on spatio-temporal modelling for POMS (Pollinator Monitoring Scheme). Cam’s PhD is in collaboration with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, supervised by me, Dr Christos Efstratiou (School of Computing, University of Kent), and Dr Richard Comont (BBCT), and is funded by the Leverhulme Trust.

Welcome to Chryssa

Chryssa Papadaki is a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, based at the Molecular Ecology Laboratory (UAMECO). Her research focuses on the application of environmental DNA (eDNA) metabarcoding for biodiversity assessment and ecological monitoring in freshwater ecosystems. In particular, she investigates macroinvertebrate communities across Mediterranean wetlands of the Aegean archipelago and alpine lakes in Greece, combining molecular approaches with ecological, biogeographical, and statistical analyses.
